The weather last week was perfect for drying our harvested garlic. It lay in the full sun after being carefully dug and is now ready to be stored.
It’s been in the ground since last Autumn and takes very little looking after aside from a sprinkling of fertiliser every now and then. As it keeps for about a year it’s worth planting a reasonable amount, especially if you seem to use it on a daily basis as I do!
Garlic is easy to grow, trouble free and rewarding which makes it a perfect vegetable to start with if you’ve never tried before.
